"The goal of faithfulness is not that we will do work for God, but that He will be free to do His work through us." From today's utmost devo.
Although i don't agree with most of today's devo very much (in light of the "God and Evil" class), at least the last paragraph was very true. I'm often content to think that I'm faithful to God because I'm "serving" at church at some capacity, but am I really allowing God to be the King of my life? Will I listen and be obedient? Will I let God work through me even in "troublesome" circumstances? This is this kind of challenge that I don't like dwelling on, haha.. i'm too weak!..
The goal of faithfulness is not that we will do work for God, but that He will be free to do His work through us!

Faithfulness, faithfulness is what I long for
Faithfulness is what I need
Faithfulness, faithfulness is what You want from me
So take my heart and form it
Take my mind, transform it
Take my will, conform it... to Yours, to Yours, oh Lord...
