so today we played basketball at sandcastle against these "white" guys (and girl). actually a family i think. i guess it started out alright.. but didn't finish very nicely... why do ppl have to be so competitive? and taking all the fun out of something that could be fun. MAYBE basketball is a stupid game. there's too much bodily contact. sometimes i think it's the problem with the ppl playing the game.. but now i think it might be the game itself. oh well. i'm easily discouraged. i'm sorry about that...
happily dead. congrats to all those who were baptised today.
i think i will officially sign off on this xanga business... it only serves to discourage me...
so happy Christmas and a merry new year. (whatever that means)
time to do the laundry.

Although i don't agree with most of today's devo very much (in light of the "God and Evil" class), at least the last paragraph was very true. I'm often content to think that I'm faithful to God because I'm "serving" at church at some capacity, but am I really allowing God to be the King of my life? Will I listen and be obedient? Will I let God work through me even in "troublesome" circumstances? This is this kind of challenge that I don't like dwelling on, haha.. i'm too weak!..

so today, i got a call from peopletogo and they told me to go on a service call. to replace the harddrive for the digital recorder at the windsor police head quarters. it turns out that the 911 emergency call centre's tape recording unit was down since Sunday. so i changed the harddrive and it took me like 5 minutes. the rest of the time was just restoring the settings from instruction over the phone. thank God everything worked smoothly and i was out of there in an hr.
while i was there, i get to overhear some of the emergency conversations. nothing major happened while i was there. and then one of the lady at the call centre desk was calling another building saying that their line was staticky and unstable. she was just checking if they were okay. and then i heard it's related to "...Dr. Justin J. Chan's line..." so weird.. maybe i heard it wrong.. but everything was okay from what i could tell. so.. haha.. that's my exciting day for u...

sigh.. went christmas shopping at somerset today.. and guess what? i came back with NOTHING... sigh.. i should've stayed home and rested.. Christmas is evil? maybe... die Christmas, die!!!.. haha... but no, i'm not bitter.. lol
i think i'll go to the gym tonite and make everyone there sick.. we'll see..
